Makayla and Dillen decided to elope in the Smokies, surrounded by their loved ones. As soon as they mentioned this to me, I knew the perfect spot for them—Cades Cove. It's such a stunning location, but more importantly, it's easily accessible, making it perfect for including family in your elopement. After their heartfelt ceremony, we took family photos, and then we headed out to explore the loop, just the two of them.
For them, having their family present was important, but they also wanted those intimate, private moments together. And that’s exactly what we did—creating a day where they could have the best of both worlds. Just because you’re eloping with family doesn’t mean you have to give up having private time with your partner.
The Smoky Mountains are made for these kinds of elopements, with so many charming spots to choose from. This September day was absolutely perfect, with the fall colors just starting to change and the weather being on point.
