Jessie and Dani wanted a laid-back, adventure-filled elopement day in Tennessee. After going through location options together, we landed on one of our favorite spots — a place we’d been dreaming of photographing an elopement at. It felt extra special because this was the spot that made them fall in love with Tennessee during a past vacation, so it truly felt meant to be.

We started their day slow and easy at their cozy cabin, capturing getting-ready moments and all the little details they brought along. The vibe was relaxed, no rush at all — just them soaking it all in. Once Jessie was ready, we placed him away for their first look. As Dani walked up, it started sprinkling… and honestly, none of us cared. Their first look was sweet, emotional, and perfectly them.

Then it was time for the adventure part. We headed out for the hike to the waterfall, only to find the main park entrance closed due to construction. Plan B kicked in quickly — we found another trail that was a bit longer, and without hesitation, they were in. Absolute troopers!.

Hiking in the rain somehow made the whole experience even more fun, and the energy they brought to the day was unmatched.

By the time we reached the waterfall, the rain stopped. They had the entire place to themselves as they exchanged vows, put on their rings, and took in the moment together. They got time to enjoy their location, pop champagne and just have fun.

We hiked back out and continued exploring, ending the day at a cliff just in time for the most unreal sunset. The sky was dreamy, glowing, and absolutely magical — a perfect reminder that a little rain on your elopement day can lead to something even better. We wrapped things up back at their cabin with cake and cozy moments, calling it the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

This is why we love what we do. Even when things don’t go exactly as planned, we’ll always have a plan b and find the way to make your day super special. That’s why having someone local by your side is a game changer.

“Coming from out of state we were very nervous about this experience but this was best decision we could have made from the first video call thru the hole experience was just amazing!! The recommendations made were of the absolute best. They were just excited to help us with a location we picked they did scouting and we all absolutely loved the choice. Our day started in a not perfect way by any means but they did everything in there power to make it the best when the park was shut down Ethan quickly pulled out his hiking app and found a new way even tho this was 4 miles thru the rain one way they were quick to say let's do it and it couldn't have been more perfect and this was due to the effort they put forth to make it happen!! I would recommend wanderlust for anybody considering a beautiful elopment she takes so many pictures and absolutely loves doing it it's because of them our day was perfect and we will never forget what they did for us I truly love this couple and what they do the sneak peak pictures were amazing and never thought they could get better but when we received the rest just wow we will never be able to pick our favorite they are all just perfect!!”
