Why Elope in Tennessee in Spring?

1. Perfect Weather

Spring in Tennessee (March-May) brings mild temperatures, making it comfortable for hiking, exploring, and enjoying the outdoors. Unlike summer, which can get hot and humid, spring offers crisp mornings and pleasant afternoons. Plus, early spring has lower humidity, making it a great time for an outdoor ceremony without worrying about excessive heat.

2. Stunning Wildflowers & Lush Scenery

If you dream of a vibrant and colorful setting, spring delivers! The Smoky Mountains and other scenic locations burst into life with dogwoods, trilliums, and rhododendrons in full bloom. The fresh greenery and floral landscapes make for a magical backdrop that looks incredible in photos.

3. Fewer Crowds Than Fall

Fall is one of the busiest times in Tennessee due to the changing leaves, which means more tourists and higher accommodation prices. Spring, on the other hand, gives you a chance to enjoy popular elopement spots without large crowds, making your experience more intimate and peaceful.

4. Beautiful Waterfalls at Their Peak

With the spring rains, Tennessee’s waterfalls are at their fullest and most breathtaking. you’ll get those dramatic and dreamy waterfall shots without having to worry about low water levels like in late summer.

5. More Availability for Vendors & Permits

Since spring isn’t as packed as the fall season, you’ll have an easier time booking your dream photographer, securing permits for national park locations, and reserving accommodations without the high-season rush.

There are tons of stunning waterfalls in Tennessee that I couldn't just name one! Spring is the best time to chase waterfalls. Those are flowing so nicely though that you will love being there to exchange your vows. Those spring showers make them flow so nicely, keep in mind to bring extra clothes and the right footwear for those rocky areas. This is perfect for those couples that don't mind getting wet and get dirty clothes at the end!
